Webinars Brought To Your Living Room

No matter what is happening in the world around us, the fundamentals do not change. What changes is how we execute those fundamentals and our willingness to adapt to advance our goals.

In a crisis, circumstances can change quickly. College students move home, people may consolidate residences and others may decide to vote who never considered voting before. Additionally, your campaign and/or cause must adapt to changing conditions and revise your voter registration tactics to match the realities of what is happening in your community.

Knowing who is a potential voter for you or supports your cause is critical. Making sure that individuals are registered to vote is even more urgent when the victor in an election may be down to a handful of votes.

Today we are hosting a training on voter registration efforts and discussing how to adapt your plan to meet your goals during the current times are living in. Our training will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (Central Time).

Jennifer DeJournett, Executive Director Minnesota

RSVP: [link removed]

In a crisis, circumstances can change quickly. College students move home, people may consolidate residences and others may decide to vote who never considered voting before. Additionally, your campaign must adapt to changing conditions and revise your voter registration tactics to match the realities of what is happening in your community.

It is never more important to make sure your campaign is continually checking to make sure your supporters who are eligible to vote are registered to vote plus you must help those that have relocated register to vote at their current home. Voter Identification and helping individuals register to vote is the difference between winning and losing. Because whether there is a crisis or not, those that has the most votes wins.

This training will focus on teaching you how to effectively run a voter registration program, provide accurate information about voting and how important it is for your campaign to make sure you are providing accurate information to your supporters.

How to run an absentee ballot/vote by mail program and incorporate it into your campaign strategy

A campaign has to be prepared for anything. An entire campaign comes down to the final stretch.

Even in a crisis your campaign has to turn out the vote. How do you get identified supporters to vote early or turn in their vote by mail if that is their only option. It’s simple if you know how to identify voters, contact them and chase the votes into the ballot box.

Learn how targeting voters, canvassing, phone-banking, targeted door-knocking and effective campaign data management all contribute to a successful Mail in / Absentee Ballot and GOTV (get-out-the-vote) programs.

This training will also include a case study of what we learned from Wisconsin in 2020 and how you can take those lessons and apply it to your next campaign or advocacy effort.

This is a training that must not be missed!

Tuesday, May 19, 7 pm to 8 pm Central Time -
Topic: Campaign in a Crisis Series: Effective Advocating in a Crisis
Jennifer DeJournett, Executive Director Minnesota

RSVP: [link removed] ([link removed])

During a crisis or when time is running out on a decision, it is critical that any advocacy effort is effective and makes a difference. Yelling at clouds won’t make the difference, but being clear, organized, purposeful and knowing how to make your voice heard does.

Being organized and mobilizing other grassroots leaders, activists and the broader community makes the difference. This training will help you learn practical ways to communicate to elected leaders regarding the causes you are passionate about and how to effectively mobilize and organize your community to advocate for change.
