Friend,

What happened on July 13th at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania was despicable. A man died, more were injured, and we almost watched a former president get assassinated on live television.

It would’ve been a horrifying thing to see. It would’ve caused widespread political violence and an even deeper divide between America’s two major political parties. Every American should denounce Donald Trump’s attempted assassination.

But let’s be clear. That doesn’t give Convicted Felon Donald Trump a free pass. It doesn’t excuse his history of violent rhetoric, his felony convictions, his agenda of hate, or his unfitness for office. He’s still the same person, his movement is just angrier. And it also doesn’t mean we let up, not for a second.

MAGA is using this as a tool to silence the pro-democracy movement. They want us to stop reminding Americans who Donald Trump is, what he believes, and why he is still the biggest threat to our democracy.

The assassination attempt was wrong. But it doesn’t change the past. In fact, it hasn’t even changed the present. MAGA is still what it always has been, and it must be stopped. Help us spread the word >>
