Hi John, it’s Sen. Janice Weiner with the IA Senate Dems. Before I ask you to donate to help elect more Democrats to Iowa’s Senate, I want to address reproductive rights in our state. 

We now know that Iowa's 6-week abortion ban will go into effect as of 8am on Monday, July 29th.

Iowa Senate Democrats stood firm against this extreme law in last summer’s special session, arguing for the majority of who Iowans support reproductive freedom. We know that Iowans believe the decision should be between the pregnant person and their doctor.

But three weeks ago, the Iowa Supreme Court, in a split 4-3 decision, decided to allow the 6-week abortion ban to go into effect.

Reproductive freedom is very much on the ballot this fall, and we are working day in and day out to contact voters because every vote matters.

John, IA Senate Dems are not going to stop fighting to restore comprehensive reproductive rights for all Iowans.

The path to accomplishing this and more starts with a Democratic Iowa Senate, John. Will you join us in paving the way for a better, safer and more affordable Iowa by chipping in any amount to help us support both progressive candidates and incumbent Senators?
