You have to give state Rep. Christine Palm credit – she consistently tries to sell her far-left agenda to the people she serves in the Connecticut Legislature. While Rep. Palm is thankfully retiring from public service, it didn’t stop her from sharing her bizarre logic that the failed attempt on President Trump’s life was a minor event, saying Trump was “nicked in his ear” as if the Republican candidate for President had bumped his head getting out of a car.
She castigated Democrats and other public officials for being thankful the country was spared a political murder by proclaiming the shooting was no big deal. Palm opined: “clearly an assassination attempt and an assassination are not the same.” She also makes the ludicrous statement that violence is “… more American than baseball or apple pie …” I have never met a politician who thinks so little of America and Americans than does Rep. Palm.
Unfortunately, Rep. Palm fails even to mention, let alone offer any sentiment to Corey Comperatore’s family for the loss of their husband and father or to David Dutch and James Copenhaven, who were injured in the shooting. Clearly, this “assassination attempt” resulted in the assassination of Corey Comperatore. I call on Rep. Palm to apologize to the Comperatore family, but I don’t believe she is capable.
