Team, I know the news has been overwhelming lately, but I want to make sure we pause to acknowledge something important that could soon be in danger.
This week is the 34th anniversary of the watershed legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act – which you probably think of as the ADA.
The ADA is one of the most significant pieces of civil rights legislation in American history – prohibiting discrimination against people with disabilities or any physical impairment and guaranteeing equal opportunities and access for all in our schools and workplaces, buildings and transportation, and in every area of our public life.
But now legislation like the ADA is coming under threat from the GOP as they embrace the Project 2025 agenda which seeks to dismantle government agencies and protections of all kinds, from the environment to accessibility to consumer rights. It’s one more thing we’re fighting for this election year, and we’re going to have to speak up about what’s at stake.
So I want to hear from you right now, do you support the ADA? Instantly add your name if you do. [[link removed]]
I’ve prioritized the needs and challenges of hard working Pennsylvanians since being elected as a PA State Rep – and the ADA provides a legal foundation for much of that work. Here are just a few examples from my time in Congress: *

My Democratic colleagues and I are working to ensure that every American gets the support, accommodations, and funding they need to thrive in this country.
But I’m worried that the GOP and their far-right agenda are going to gut the ADA and all of the work we’ve done. I don’t intend on letting that happen, and I need to know if you’re by my side.
Instantly add your name to let me know you support protecting and expanding the ADA. [[link removed]]I SUPPORT THE ADA [[link removed]]
