John: On July 1, Texas set Robert Roberson’s execution for t, despite new evidence supporting that he is innocent. Unless Gov. Greg Abbott intervenes, Robert will be the first person in the U.S. executed based on the discredited shaken baby syndrome (SBS) hypothesis.

John, we only have 86 days to stop Texas from making a tragic, irreversible mistake. That’s why we’re counting on 10,000 supporters like you to join us in the fight to stop Robert Roberson’s execution. Please help save an innocent life and act now:

In 2002, Robert's two-year-old daughter Nikki passed away from prior medical conditions, including a high fever and undiagnosed pneumonia, after a short fall from bed. Hospital staff did not know Robert had autism and judged his response to his daughter’s grave condition as lacking emotion. Robert was prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to death under the now-discredited SBS hypothesis.

"When a child dies, there’s often a rush to judgment. Since 2003, each of the Shaken Baby Syndrome premises used to convict and sentence Robert Roberson to death has been debunked by evidence-based science. The courts or Governor Abbott must intervene to prevent an irreversible tragedy from coming to pass."
— Gretchen Sims Sween, Ph.D., J.D.,
Robert's Attorney

A thorough reexamination of Nikki's medical records and the autopsy evidence by specialists have revealed that:

* Nikki's lung tissue shows severe, advanced, interstitial viral pneumonia and secondary bacterial pneumonia that existed for days, if not weeks, before her collapse;
* Her pneumonia was so severe that it has progressed to sepsis, a system-wide failure to fight off infection; and
* The medications she was prescribed during her final days would likely have hastened her death by further suppressing her ability to breathe.

For more than two decades, Robert has been languishing on death row — all because Texas courts have ignored critical advancements in science and compelling new medical evidence not heard by the jury that prove his innocence.

John, Robert has never had a true chance at justice in this case. His right to due process and a fair trial were violated by the State’s introduction of false and misleading forensic science. Today, actual science that has been supported by studies and empirical testing has exposed that no crime occurred here.

Robert deserves a fair shot at justice, so please: Will you join our fight to stop Robert Roberson's execution by signing the petition, becoming part of his advocacy team, and sharing his story on social media?
