Let's call this tweet what it is: misinformation. For the past decade, cries of "voter fraud" have been used by Republicans to pass discriminatory voter ID laws that protect their power. A federal court even found that Republicans in the North Carolina legislature passed a voter ID law that would "target African-Americans with almost surgical precision."

But Republicans didn't stop there. Now politicians in states like Wisconsin are suppressing the vote by blocking relief measures in response to the public health emergency. And the leader of their party is encouraging them. He knows Republicans will protect him no matter how they win elections!

That's why the NDRC and its affiliates are building on our scope of work to fight against voter suppression, a necessary component of our mission to end GOP gerrymandering and ensure fair elections.
