Joe Biden is an American hero.
For over 50 years, President Biden has given everything to the country he so dearly loves. As a Senator, Vice President, and President, he has devoted his life to helping people and making the world safer. It’s not an overstatement to say he is the most consequential president of our lifetimes. His legislative accomplishments -- from passing the biggest climate action in human history to cutting the cost of prescription drugs for seniors -- will endure for generations to come.
President Biden put the country before himself, making the best choice for the American people in this uniquely consequential moment by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic candidate for president. For that, and for his lifetime of service, we should all be deeply grateful.
I strongly endorse Kamala Harris’ candidacy for president. Her historic service as Vice President helped us achieve many of our biggest legislative wins and helped our country recover from the pandemic. She is more than ready to lead on the toughest domestic and foreign policy issues and to deliver for the American people.
Having worked with Vice President Harris both during her time in the Senate and in the Biden-Harris Administration, I’m confident that she has what it takes to defeat Donald Trump. (It appears Trump is already pretty nervous about her being his opponent!)
These past few days, we’ve witnessed incredible Democratic enthusiasm as people from all corners of the party have come together to support Vice President Harris. We need her to win in November with a Democratic House and Senate, so that we can protect the progress already made and keep working on the critical issues our nation is facing.
