John, this week is the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) which works to end discrimination in the workplace for people with disabilities. But it has helped shape so much more than that, especially for women!
Here at AWP, we’re committed to protecting and expanding the ADA in the face of right-wing attacks who want to dismantle this landmark legislation, are you with us?YES! [[link removed]]
You probably know that the ADA states employers must make reasonable accommodations to enable people with disabilities to participate and enjoy equal benefits and privileges of employment. But did you know it also establishes protections and accommodations for pregnant people, domestic violence victims, women with disabilities, women of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community? It does!
The ADA helped pave the way for workplace equality in this country. But we now know that this GOP is coming after protections just like those provided in the ADA and we’re worried that they’re going to gut it.
So we need to know: are you committed to protecting and expanding the ADA?I'M COMMITTED [[link removed]]
The GOP is committed to its extreme agenda that dismantles so many of our most sacred rights and protections provided by law and government programs. And we know that workplace protections are on the chopping block. Progress for people with disabilities, women, and the LGBTQIA+ community, all at risk.
We can’t just watch this happen. That’s why we’re supporting more women running for Congress who are committed to protecting and expanding federal programs, like the ADA, that the American people want and need.
Do you want to see the ADA on the chopping block and the GOP in power?HECK NO [[link removed]]
Good, thanks for letting us know,
A Woman’s Place PAC
The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
