As Attorney General, I know how important it is to show up for folks across Colorado, to make sure they are seen, and to listen to their concerns. And I know that Congresswoman Yadira Caraveo, who represents the new 8th Congressional District, feels the same way. She’s been an outstanding public servant in Congress and faces a tough re-election campaign. That’s why the Horizon Project’s “deep canvassing” in that district is so important.
Deep canvassing focuses on meaningful conversations with voters. In my experiences, I’ve engaged with Coloradans about their mental health challenges, coming out to their parents, daily challenges to afford groceries, and the things that inspire them. These real conversations make a difference—and inspire citizens to vote.
On Saturday, August 3rd, I’m looking forward to joining a deep canvass in Adams County. Please join me in encouraging our neighbors to participate in our democracy. If you’re new to deep canvassing, no worries—training will be provided beforehand. You can sign up for both the training and canvass opportunity here.
Thanks for your support in ensuring that our democracy remains a government of, by, and for the people.
