Essential workers are risking their lives in hospitals, in grocery stores, in law enforcement, on public transportation, and in so many more places across America, to keep our country going as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

These people are heroes, and they should be treated like it. While we certainly owe them our gratitude, we also owe them the compensation they deserve so that they can care for their families and safely recover should they become sick. We also need the ability to recruit MORE workers to serve on the frontlines.

Bob has joined with five other Senate Democrats to propose a "Heroes Fund" that would help reward, retain, and recruit essential workers who will get us through this crisis. Now he needs your help to build support for this plan.

The COVID-19 Heroes Fund proposed by Bob would provide a $25,000 pandemic premium pay increase through the end of the year for essential workers, adding $13 per hour to their pay. It would also provide a $15,000 incentive to recruit healthcare workers to serve in clinics, hospitals, and homes across America, and to bring more first responders to the workforce.

These workers -- these heroes -- deserve our support as they put their health and safety at risk for our country.
