How Should Christians Respond to a Watered-Down GOP Platform? |
by Suzanne Bowdey |
Now that Americans have had a chance to digest the political earthquakes of the last week and a half, a lot of conservatives are circling back to a major disappointment that, like most news, faded to the background when Donald Trump was shot. Even after the bombshell that Joe Biden is exiting the 2024 race, the mainstream media seems intent on returning to a thread that created big waves before the first shots ever rang out in Butler, Pennsylvania: a radically-rewritten GOP platform that leaves decades of pro-life and pro-family values behind. |

by Ben Johnson |
Facing two impeachment measures, potential perjury charges, and dozens of calls to quit or be fired, the director of the U.S. Secret Service turned in her resignation Tuesday - less than 24 hours after she withered under questioning about her failure to prevent the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on July 13. |

The Man and the Motive: Behind Musk's War on the 'Woke Mind Virus' |
by Joshua Arnold |
When California enacted a school secrecy pact last week, businessman Elon Musk responded with surprising intensity. The law, which would require school personnel to lie to parents about their child's gender identity, as The Washington Stand reported, was "the final straw" for Musk, who announced plans to relocate his businesses' headquarters to Texas (Tesla's headquarters relocated to Texas in 2021, but now SpaceX and X are set to follow). |

Reports Indicate that Dems Likely Engineered a Coup against Biden |
by S.A. McCarthy |
President Joe Biden won nearly 4,000 delegates in Democratic primaries and the backing of at least 14 million registered Democrats. But party elites, who often clamor in public about "protecting democracy," subverted the will of their voters and ousted the sitting U.S. president from the race for reelection. On Sunday, the palace coup came to fruition: Biden dropped out of the race and quickly endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, both moves via social media. Over the past month, numerous reports have surfaced, most of them citing Democratic Party and Biden administration insiders, which confirm that Sunday's events were an engineered coup. |

During remarks delivered at the 2024 International Religious Freedom (IRF) Asia Summit in Tokyo, Pompeo strongly reaffirmed the island nation's right to autonomy from China, proclaiming it to be "a free, independent, and sovereign nation." |

Gettysburg Hero: The Study of Christianity in Public School Is Not Unreasonable |
by Jacob Kersey |
The issue of teaching the Bible in public school is one that has recently received much attention. On June 19, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry (R) signed HB 71 into law which requires all publicly funded schools and colleges in the state to display the Ten Commandments. The Left was apoplectic in response. But is it so unreasonable to display the Ten Commandments in public schools? Is it an outrage to teach American youth about Christianity? Civil War hero Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain thought not. |

Tenn. Appeals Court Upholds Law Protecting Minors from 'Obscene' Material |
by Sarah Holliday |
Tennessee's Adult Entertainment Act (AEA) was enacted in 2023, establishing that "it is an offense for a person to perform adult cabaret entertainment," regardless of location, if "viewed by a person who is not an adult." As defined by the legislation, "cabaret" is "adult-oriented performances that are harmful to minors" such as "topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, male or female impersonators, or similar entertainers." In response to this legislation, a left-wing group filed suit against it, but this week, a federal appellate court chose to uphold the law. |
