John,
First, I truly hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. Despite these uncertain times, I know you support land conservation and our National Parks — which is why I am reaching out to you for help to protect our close to home parks and iconic public lands, that are at risk of losing critical federal funding.
Recently the Senate introduced historic legislation — the Great American Outdoors Act (S. 3422) — that would fund the protection of public lands across the country, help build local parks and green spaces in communities that need them the most, and provide the guaranteed funding necessary to repair and maintain our beloved National Parks — but now, that opportunity is at risk of disappearing.
So … we must organize — digitally! — to ensure the protection of the lands we all love. We need to build a coalition of 10,000 changemakers just like you across the country, who will help us advocate and demonstrate widespread support for S.3422 and other public lands legislation.
Will you be a Public Lands Citizen Activist and take grassroots actions for the protection of parks and public land?
As a Public Lands Citizen Activist you will:
- Be called into action for our most pressing campaigns to contact your representatives and share on social media
- Receive insider updates from our Federal Affairs team
- Inspire others to learn more about our public lands
As the nation grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, many traditional places where communities gather for exercise and socializing are closed, and cultural experiences and events are canceled. Having public natural spaces where people can get fresh air and exercise while observing social distancing guidelines — has never been more important. We will need these spaces even more as our communities recover.
That’s why I’m asking you to help ensure this historic opportunity for guaranteed conservation funding doesn’t disappear. Become a Public Lands Citizen Activist today!
My sincerest thanks,
Alana Fink
