Two weeks ago, a nuclear weapons contractor began manufacturing 10,000 ventilators. It demonstrates how highly-skilled workers could be redeployed to produce socially useful goods and services once the Trident nuclear weapons system is scrapped.
To discuss these fascinating developments, we invite you to join CND's next seminar Ventilators not Exterminators at 2pm on Saturday 25th April.
We'll be joined by Hilary Wainwright, founding editor of Red Pepper, who has written extensively on defence diversification and democratising the economy, and Samantha Mason, policy officer at the PCS union. The seminar will be hosted by Ian Chamberlain, CND's press and communications officer.
There will be time to take questions. Please drop us an email with your question and we will discuss some of these during the webinar.
If you're a Facebook user, you can watch the discussion live from 2pm by visiting facebook.com/CNDuk/live
If you're not a Facebook user, you can join us by registering to watch the meeting on Zoom.
