Dear John,
Today is World Blue Mind Day, and our longtime friend and founding advisor to Plastic Pollution Coalition Dr. Wallace J Nichols would encourage all of us to get in, near, on, or under the water.
It’s been a little over a month since J passed away, and we know it’s still so hard to believe. We also know the best way to honor him is to keep his work and his memory alive. His family has established the Dr. Wallace J. Nichols Memorial Fund and is in the process of turning the fund into a foundation to continue his work, including The Blue Mind Movement, Billion Baby Turtles Project, Blue Marbles Project, Force Blue, and Plastic Pollution Coalition.
In one month, on Friday, August 23, Plastic Pollution Coalition will host a special open Zoom call to share stories and tributes about J. Whether you knew him as a friend or colleague, or admired his work from afar, we welcome you to join us to celebrate his extraordinary life and lasting contributions to our beautiful blue water planet.
