Today, the Virginia Delegation to the 2024 Democratic National Convention unanimously voted to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination for the President of the United States.

At this critical time, our delegation believes that Vice President Harris is the right leader to not only unify our party, but our country. As a former prosecutor and senator who advocated for women’s rights and working-class families, we know that she will continue the momentum that the Biden-Harris administration started four years ago, delivering for Virginians in one of the most effective administrations in our lifetimes.

Simply put, the work we are doing is crucial to winning up and down the ballot in November. Our Coordinated Campaign hasn’t skipped a beat, with the Biden for President team turning into the Harris for President team overnight. Our volunteers are knocking on doors and dialing their phones to make sure they reach every single voter in the Commonwealth.

We know what is at stake this November. Affordable healthcare, abortion access, birth control, and Social Security are all on the line. Vice President Harris will not only protect us from Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s extreme agenda, but will also usher in a new generation of leadership.
