John: Following up on my email from Monday: can you help us with our fight to protect Prop 13? Remember it costs California politicians NOTHING to put these tax hikes on the ballot - and they are counting on taxpayers to be so battered by the Coronavirus to not put up much of a fight. Our goal in ramping up a strong campaign organization by June is to send a message to the politicians that we are indeed ready to fight and defeat any tax hikes they place on the ballot. Do what you can -- even $25 helps! CONTRIBUTE SECURELY: Stop the Property Tax Hike Best, PS: please also forward our campaign petition to everyone you know so we can hit our goal of 1 million voters pledging to vote against the tax hikes. Here's the link From: Carl DeMaio John: This morning, I held a Virtual Town Hall with Reform California to brief supporters on our campaign to defend Prop 13 by blocking the property tax hike measure California politicians are placing on the November ballot. You can watch a full video of the presentation online (link below) — and I’m hoping you will help support the campaign today. Given the economic impacts of the Coronavirus lockdowns, it is even more important that we stop ANY tax hikes from being imposed this year. To defeat these tax hikes, we have had to adjust our campaign strategy to focus on virtual organizing activities in each region with a goal of getting the campaign completely in place in each region of the state by June 30. Can you help us protect Prop 13 by contributing to the campaign today? CONTRIBUTE SECURELY: Stop the Property Tax Hike If Prop 13 is repealed and politicians get to impose a massive property tax hike, we will not only see an immediate cost-of-living spike but our property values will plummet. We need to wage an AGGRESSIVE campaign now to send a simple message: Californians are hurting and they simply cannot afford any higher taxes. Please do whatever you can! Even $25 helps us get the campaign off to a strong start right now! Best, Carl DeMaio To watch the video of the Virtual Town Hall on Saving Prop 13, visit my Facebook page here. |
