Justin Amash – U.S. Senate Candidate – Bio

Justin Amash is a principled, consistent constitutional conservative dedicated to individual liberty, economic freedom, and the Rule of Law. He was born and raised in Grand Rapids. He received his bachelor’s degree with High Honors in Economics from the University of Michigan and his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. As a member of Congress, he focused on reining in out-of-control government spending, abolishing corporate welfare and other forms of government favoritism, and ending the weaponization of government—including by leading the charge against warrantless surveillance, indefinite detention, civil asset forfeiture, qualified immunity for government officials, and other policies and practices that violate constitutionally secured rights. Justin and his wife, Kara, live in Cascade Charter Township with their three children.
