I just got off the phone with my good friend and Senate colleague, Bob Casey. He told me he’s worried because he’s in the midst of one of the most competitive and closely watched races in the country. His grassroots support in Pennsylvania is strong, but he’s also up against a billionaire-backed hedge fund executive who’s pouring buckets of dark money into attack ads and junk mail to try to beat him.

I don’t blame Bob for being concerned. If he loses his seat in November, funding for Medicare and Medicaid will be at risk, women’s health care access will be more vulnerable than ever, and medical care for our veterans could be at serious risk.

Despite everything on the line, I told him not to worry. Here’s why:

Bob and I are proud of what we’ve accomplished together in the Senate, serving as a voice for seniors, veterans, and working Americans. We’ve made great progress in bringing down the cost of living for families, expanding access to healthcare and childcare, taking on price gougers (or, as Bob calls it, corporate “Greedflation”), and providing essential services for our veterans.

This election is a choice between leaders who will work for you, and ones who work for their big donors and special interest groups. I know where I stand, and Bob and I are counting on grassroots donations from people like you to win. Will you split a contribution of just $10 between our campaigns to help us both get reelected in November and continue to make a real difference for our constituents?
