Instruments of Woke: Local News or Political Propaganda?

Political activists are increasingly creating fake news media outlets to manipulate public opinion, particularly in swing states. Democratic activist David Brock has launched The Independent, a DC-based group of local news sites funded by his super PAC. This follows the 2021 launch of Good Information, Inc. by Democratic activist Tara McGowan, backed by billionaires like George Soros. Good Information, accused of being a partisan media project, was denounced by a left-leaning TikTok influencer for attempting to pay him to create propaganda. Voters are urged to critically assess their news sources, especially in battleground states.
