Hello John,

Did you see Max’s recent email? As Max wrote in his email to you, the threats to your earned benefits keep coming. In fact, former President Donald Trump’s running mate has called for devastating benefit cuts that would hurt millions of older Americans like you. That’s why now is not the time to sit on the sidelines and hope for the best. If you haven’t yet signed our Emergency Congress, please take a moment to do it right now. And if you’ve already signed it: Thank you.

To help the National Committee continue our fight for your earned benefits, please also consider making a gift in whatever amount you can afford today. Your gift will go directly to the frontlines of our full-time battle on Capitol Hill to protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare.

Dear John,

Former President Donald Trump’s pick for Vice President cannot be trusted any more than Trump himself to protect Social Security and Medicare. Like Trump, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance has reversed his positions on this issue … perhaps to gain favor with American seniors, who are one of the most reliable voting blocs.

Long before he ran for Senate, J.D. Vance called for trillions of dollars to be cut from ‘entitlement’ programs and supported a plan to privatize traditional Medicare. He wrote that the Republican Party was “the party of the aging white person” and that this “constituency” depends on Social Security and Medicare, creating one of the “biggest roadblocks to any kind of real fiscal sanity.”

John, as a senior American, your voice needs to be heard by our elected officials in Congress, many of whom are running for reelection — or in the case of Senator J.D Vance, is now running on Donald Trump’s presidential ticket!

Please sign our Emergency Petition addressed to your members of Congress — and speak out against efforts by any political candidate or lawmaker who wants to trade the security of your earned benefits for tax breaks that benefit the wealthy and huge corporations!

As a candidate for Senate in 2022, Vance attempted to walk-back some of his radical positions on seniors’ earned benefits, because of the enormous popularity of Social Security and Medicare among Americans across party lines. Like former President Trump, who also has been all over the map when it comes to seniors’ earned benefits, Vance insists that he no longer wants to slash either program.

Lawmakers, like J.D. Vance, need to know that voters like you will not accept any cuts to their earned benefits!

This summer, as the election heats up and we are reminded that seniors’ earned benefits remain firmly on the chopping block, I urge you to sign our Emergency Petition to Congress today and tell your members of Congress that voters in your state reject any proposal or bill that would slash or privatize Social Security or Medicare.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
