President Joe Biden’s announcement yesterday reflects what we’ve known all along: he is an American patriot who is willing to put America’s interests over his own.

Like FDR and LBJ before him, Joe Biden will go down as one of the most consequential Presidents in American history.

Having led our nation’s recovery through one of its darkest chapters and making record-breaking investments in American families – we thank him for everything he’s done for our nation.

As we move forward together, I’m proud to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President. She has been a stellar Attorney General for California, an accomplished US Senator, and has been a steadfast partner to President Biden.

I have complete faith she understands the enormous threat to democracy posed by Donald Trump and will do everything to protect the future of our nation. It’s more important than ever that we stand united and prove our strength as Democrats.
