On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we’re confronting not one but two global disasters: the recent COVID-19 pandemic, and the ongoing climate change crisis.
The idea that has animated Earth Day for five decades -- that by working together as a global community, we can protect people and our planet -- is more important today than ever before.
In that spirit, I wanted to share a brief video about how -- even in these difficult times -- we can build a stronger, more sustainable future:
We can make faster progress on climate change as we fight this pandemic. We can -- and must -- do both.
