John, Cory Booker here. I'm reaching out because my friend, Colin Allred, needs our help to defeat Ted Cruz. 

Why is a guy from New Jersey talking about Texas?

Three reasons:

1. Ted Cruz would undermine our democracy – he's already said he would refuse to accept the 2024 election results if he doesn't like the results.

2. Our Democratic Senate majority is on the line this year, and winning in Texas would nearly guarantee we maintain our slim majority.

3. We can win this race – Cruz is as vulnerable as he's ever been; he barely won his election in 2018, and multiple polls show Colin TIED with him right now!

That's why, before I say one more word about what's at stake, I'm going to ask you to chip in just $5 to help Colin win in Texas so he can join me in the Senate and give Texans a Senator they can finally be proud of.

Republicans in the Senate are working every day to cut Medicare and Social Security and take away reproductive freedoms in every corner of America. 

With our current slim majority in the Senate, my Democratic colleagues and I have been able to hold back the worst of the GOP's extreme agenda, but there's no doubt in my mind that if they win back the majority, they will go even further in rolling back our rights and cutting crucial assistance to American families.

I also know this, John: We have a chance to prevent all of these awful scenarios from happening – if we help Colin Allred win in Texas.

I've seen how hard Colin has worked since being elected to Congress in 2018. He's made a name for himself as the kind of guy who will keep showing up every day to work for a better future for the communities he represents. 

That's why I'm doing everything in my power to help elect Colin and finally defeat Ted Cruz at the ballot box, but I need you going all in with me, John. So please, will you chip in $5 or more to Colin's campaign now so we can win in Texas, hold on to our razor-thin Democratic Senate majority, and keep working for progress for all Americans?
