Wisconsin Lottery Wins Award from National Council on Problem Gambling

MADISON, Wis. The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) has awarded the Wisconsin Lottery one of its highest levels of recognition for the Lottery's responsible gaming initiatives. At the 2024 National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling, the Wisconsin Lottery was given the Corporate Multicultural Communications Award for its "Pick a Card, Any Card" campaign in Spanish and Hmong.

As the 2024 Corporate Multicultural Communications Award recipient, the Wisconsin Lottery was recognized for its outstanding efforts in creating an impactful multicultural communications strategy that catered to English, Spanish, and Hmong speaking audiences.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by the National Council on Problem Gambling for this award," said Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin. "This honor shows our commitment to engaging with diverse communities and delivering essential messages in multiple languages."

A long-time partner with both the NCPG and the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling (WCPG), the Wisconsin Lottery's responsible gaming advocacy is a critical element to the Lottery's daily operations. In fact, in 2022, the Wisconsin Lottery was approved for a Responsible Gaming Level 2 Certification by the World Lottery Association.

Recognition for its responsible gaming campaigns isn't new to the Wisconsin Lottery. In 2021, the North American Association for Provincial Lotteries gave the Lottery the Batchy Award for the "It's Not So Easy to Hide" print campaign and in 2018, the WCPG honored the Lottery with its Outstanding Achievement Award for providing excellence in services, resources, and long-term devotion to problem gamblers.
