WE’RE BACK! We took a break last week because this month has been PACKED. Between showing up at Netroots Nation, hosting three live Feminist Buzzkills podcasts, galvanizing folks to repeal the Comstock Act, teaching them about ALL the Comstockery® coming down the line, and introducing them to the infamous Anthony Comstock himself, we needed a rest. We laughed, we cried, we saw a giant inflatable IUD…then we cried some more as we watched the “Not Girl Summer” kick-off in Milwaukee.

But we’re back and we got some news. 

RNC: WHO HAS MORE RIGHTS THAN ME NOW?
The Republican Platform was announced this week at the RNC and guess what? They’ve pledged to give a fertilized egg the same rights as YOU – whether it is in your body or living in a vat at minus 300 degrees below zero. At this point, they want any living thing that is NOT you to have more rights. Apparently the 2025 in Project 2025 is actually the number of ways they are scheming to reclassify us as property of the government.

KANSAS: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!
It seems pretty simple to us: your healthcare is ONLY your business, right? Even though Kansans voted to protect abortion in their state, officials are STILL trying to insert their nosey asses by asking patients why they’re getting their abortions! Guess what, Kansas- IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

ARKANSAS: NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT
Volunteers in Arkansas collected over 100,000 signatures to put abortion on the ballot, only to have the Secretary of State reject them on a supposed technicality. Guess what? Arkansans for Limited Government AIN’T GIVING UP! Volunteers have faced threats, harassment, and intimidation…add Asshole Partisan Electeds to the list of what they aren’t afraid of. YOU GOT THIS, ARKANSAS!
