** Candidate Highlight - Sandra Wittner
------------------------------------------------------------
We're continuing to highlight Young Dems running throughout the county in 2024 and, this week, we'd like to introduce you to Council Member Sandra Wittner, who is seeking a fourth term representing Dover's First Ward.
As a member of Town Council, Sandra has put transparency and accountability at the forefront of her service. She also led the fight to ensure fair wages for Dover's workers and was a leader in the effort to expand the Town's tax base through its cannabis ordinance.
When not serving her constituents, Sandra can usually be seen alongside her husband Andrew as they chase after their two rambunctious boys, Lucas and Oliver.
Sandra's day job is as a Lead Anesthesia Tech at Overlook Medical Center. She also has been a volunteer for nearly two decades with American Legion Auxiliary Girl's State, where she currently serves as Assistant Director.
She serves as a member of the Morris County Democratic Committee's Executive Board, as Vice Chair of the Morris County Democratic Committee's Hispanic Caucus, and is active within the Morris County Democratic Women's Caucus.
Sandra has proven to be an honest, competent, and thoughtful leader, and the residents of her Ward have rewarded her with re-election not once, but twice.
But, this year, she needs our help.
After defeating a primary opponent backed by the sitting Mayor, Sandra has drawn an Independent challenger backed by...you guessed it...the sitting Mayor.
