- Championing laws in the 1950s that banned the wearing of facial coverings during public demonstrations — severely curtailing membership in the KKK.
- Beginning a trailblazing push for hate crimes legislation in the 1980s, culminating in the Matthew Sheppard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.
- Helping tens of millions of students since 1999 learn how to take effective action against antisemitism and bullying through ADL’s No Place for Hate(R) program.
- Most recently, ADL supporters successfully urged the White House to create the historic National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, that includes 30 ADL recommendations.
