It's infuriating, team.
Even during this health crisis, we are up against special interests and corporations that are spending millions on lobbyists to get their way in Washington.
What’s even more enraging is that these same special interests are doing everything they can to unseat me.
Last week, I got word that a Trump-aligned super PAC reserved $1.6 million to run attack ads against me in my community. That news came just after we got word that I am officially the last remaining Democratic incumbent defending a tossup seat in the state of California.
Needless to say, it’s been a tough month, and we’re pacing behind our fundraising goal with roughly one week until our April end-of-month deadline:
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I want you to know that I’m standing up to this Administration and putting the needs of working families in my community and across the country first during this crisis.
The truth is, I couldn’t care less about what the lobbyists and big corporations want to see funded in these stimulus bills. I’m refusing their corporate PAC cash.
But that also means I’m depending on grassroots support from folks like you to stay in this fight. If we don’t raise the resources we need, I will lose my re-election campaign -- plain and simple:
Please, chip in $3 to help us pick up the pace so we can keep this seat blue. I can't do this without you.
Wishing you all my very best,
TJ Cox
A note about contributions: TJ Cox is rejecting all corporate PAC donations, and it was support from individual donors like you who helped TJ flip CA-21 from red to blue in 2018. We know this is a difficult time. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, and only consider contributing to our campaign if you can afford to do so. |
