ACLU Supporter, no matter who is elected to the White House this November, we're putting everything we have into defending our rights. Our roadmap to defend democracy is ready for you now.
Last week, the RNC presented one party's vision for the future – laying out Donald Trump's official platform should he become president again.
And despite Trump's recent effort to distance his campaign from Project 2025 – an extreme series of proposals for the next president authored by the Heritage Foundation with the help of several members of Trump's first administration – both the official platform and Project 2025's proposals share key policies that would attack our rights.
Both include mass deportation, mandating discrimination against trans people – including service members and children, censoring classroom discussions about race, gender, and systemic oppression, banning abortion, and more.
These aren't just PDFs full of empty threats, ACLU Supporter. These policies would impact real people whose rights are on the line. They could mean immigrant families' lives uprooted, trans youth left without gender-affirming care, and students denied the truth about America's history of racism, sexism, and other forms of inequality.
We take these potential impacts seriously. That's why our experts have spent the past several months reviewing Trump's first term, his campaign promises, and Project 2025 – and evaluating the success of our work in his first term, when we launched over 430 legal actions to stop rights violations from the Trump administration. We know what it takes to protect our rights – we've been doing it for more than 100 years.
We've assembled this expertise into a series of memos, breaking down what we can expect if Trump is re-elected and mapping out exactly how we'll defend our rights in the face of these proposals.
And we've just released all Trump memos – including our final three on voting rights, free speech, and the criminal legal system. You can be the first to check out our complete plan for a potential second Trump administration by diving into the memos now >>
ACLU Supporter, thanks to support from members like you, we've been able to show up to protect our rights through 19 different presidents across more than 100 years. Together, we can keep up that fight – and create the future we deserve, no matter who is elected this November.
