The climate crisis we face has never been more severe. Today, on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we recommit to doing all we can to protect and preserve our home.

We recognize that this is a very difficult time for all in our country. Hiral's first priority right now is everyone's health, safety, and well-being. We ask you to only consider making a donation if you can afford to do so. The work of our campaign continues, albeit remotely, and we remain committed to the longterm mission of fighting for Arizona families. John, today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. It's a day to recommit to doing all we can to protect and preserve our home.

The climate crisis we face has never been more severe. The good news is that Arizona has a chance to be a major part of the solution -- we have the potential to become an epicenter for renewable energy and clean jobs. Making the critical investments today will create jobs, boost our economy, make our air and water cleaner, and secure a healthier future for us and our planet.

In Congress, I will help make our state a leader in solar, wind, and hydropower. I will ensure that we preserve our state's natural beauty and resources. And, I will do everything I can to make our environment more healthy and keep our communities safe -- places that our children and future generations can live and thrive in.

We need to ask ourselves why we aren't capitalizing on the clean energy opportunities we have -- why we aren't seeing action from our leaders that matches the urgency of the moment. The answer is that too many Washington politicians, David Schweikert among them, put the interests of their corporate donors, who oppose environmental progress, over the health and well-being of their constituents.

Schweikert takes money from the fossil fuel industry and APS -- the largest supplier of electricity in our state, and a staunch opponent of solar energy. It's no surprise that he's positioned himself as a climate denier and has supported the current administration's reckless undoing of environmental protection regulations.

We cannot afford two more years of a Congressman who fails to meet the moment. We deserve leaders who respect science, understand the facts, and commit to quickly and decisively investing in protecting our planet and its people.

I cannot get to Congress and fight for our collective future without your help. The special interests who bankroll Schweikert and are determined to keep the status quo will spend heavily to stop me. So, if you are able, could you please chip in $5, $50, or more to my campaign? Thank you for being at our side in this fight.

There is no “Plan-et B,” so let’s protect the one we’ve got. Happy Earth Day, and take good care.
