Over the weekend President Joe Biden made the selfless decision to not seek reelection in November. His leadership has been invaluable to Texas and to our nation. From his historic legislative achievements to his steady hand in times of crisis, President Biden has proven himself a true public servant who always puts country first.

We are grateful for his leadership in the White House and know that his legacy as one of the most consequential and progressive presidents of our lifetime will be firmly cemented in history books. We have taken the time to listen to Texas Democrats from all across the state and those who will be heading to the national convention in Chicago: Our delegation is proud to join President Biden's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris to carry the Democratic banner forward. 

Breaking historic precedent, Harris became the first Black and South Asian woman to hold the office of the Vice President, and her career has been marked by an unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and progress for all Americans. 

Kamala Harris is ready to lead, and we are ready to elect her this November, my friend.
