Back in 2020, the Biden-Harris team won over a lot of Veterans who voted for Republicans in the past.
In 2016, Trump won Veterans by almost 30 points. In 2020, that margin was cut by 14 points. That kind of margin is the difference between victory and defeat — and Joe Biden’s personal connection as a Military dad was a huge part of that.
Having a Veteran on the ticket could keep that momentum going. It enhances our chances of winning.

If VoteVets has proven anything over the decades since we got started, it’s that Veterans communicate to and reach voters that other Democrats can’t. In swing states, in critical districts — Veterans win.
We’ve shown time and again that Veterans are trusted and respected. With democracy on the line and no margin for error, Veterans have a major role to play this year.
Beyond that, we know this for sure: Trump’s terrified of Veterans turning against him. That’s why he chose J.D. Vance, and it’s why he’s running as far as he can from his “suckers” and “losers” insults. A Veteran can make our argument better than anyone.
