Okay everyone, the race is on! We are not remaining quiet as the drive accelerates to coronate Kamala Harris. I spent the last year and a half of my life watching the coronation of Joe Biden from a front row seat. I knew it was wrong, and my points proved to be well taken.
The coronation of Kamala Harris is an idea that’s no better. We need to think very deeply about what would actually win in November, and if Kamala Harris proves to be the best candidate then great! But such victory should not be assumed. We’re not going to save democracy unless we practice it ourselves.
We need 300 delegates to pledge their desire that the convention be opened, and we’re doing everything we can. Because the DNC will not release the list of delegates — except to their preferred candidate, of course! — we’re having to research it ourselves. I cannot tell you how moved I am by our wonderful volunteers who are literally working day and night to make that happen.
We have a few delegate pledges already today, and with every one we get we’re rejoicing!
