Dear John,
When we surveyed NIAC Action members earlier this year on who you planned to support in the 2024 Presidential election, Biden received 39% support and Trump received just 4%, but the majority of respondents said [[link removed]] they would not vote for either Biden or Trump . This was a major reversal from 2020 when NIAC Action members overwhelmingly voted to endorse Biden.
Now, Joe Biden has dropped out and Kamala Harris appears poised to replace him – and many who felt burned by the Biden administration's policies in the Middle East are eager to find out if Harris has what it takes to deliver on a more peaceful future.
There are several positive indicators:
*
Kamala
Harris
was

*
As

Harris

Read our analysis: Could Kamala Harris Shift Gears on Biden’s Disastrous Middle East Approach? [[link removed]] >>
Of course, right now, this could all be wishful thinking as Harris has not made a clear break from Biden's Middle East approach.
Anyone who hopes to secure the Democratic nomination and defeat Donald Trump should commit to chart a foreign policy that makes a clean break from the militarism and slaughter that is still unfolding today. Fresh thinking is needed – both in the Oval Office and in the national security team that surrounds the President.
We are working now to ensure that this fresh thinking takes place. In 2020, NIAC Action secured commitments from candidates to dismantle Trump's Muslim Ban and to change course on his militaristic Iran policy. We organized the largest Iranian-American voter contact and turnout operation in history. And we helped defeat Trump. Now, we have a chance to demand a candidate who will deliver on the important promises that have been neglected and ensure Trump does not return to the White House.
This is a moment of major opportunity for our community and our country. Will you rush a donation to NIAC Action to support our efforts and demand that peace and our rights are on the ballot this November?
