Happy Earth Day, John! Every single day -- but especially today -- we are thrilled to work to elect someone like Carolyn, who is committed to combating climate change before it’s too late. That’s why this Earth Day, we’re taking a stand. Join Carolyn in standing up for our own backyard today!
Our community here in Southwest Washington is flush with natural beauty and exciting outdoor experiences. From State Parks and National Wildlife Refuges at Long Beach and around Willapa Bay to the caves and views at Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, we have an abundance to use for hiking, fishing, hunting, and enjoying beautiful views and recreation. They are vital to our way of life. But with these public lands comes the responsibility to protect them -- and John, we’re going to be paying the price for Trump’s and our current congresswoman’s failure to act for years and generations to come. The changes we’re seeing to our climate, our water and air quality, and to our public lands are not just an environmental threat — these are economic, national security, and health issues, not to mention salmon sustainability— all that Carolyn takes very seriously. It’s up to us to take action now to protect our environment for future generations. John, will you stand with Team Long in recognizing climate change as an existential threat and pledging to do all that we can to reverse its effects?
Thank you for taking a stand, -- Everyone on Team Long |
