Salaam John,
By now, you have seen that President Biden has officially withdrawn from the 2024 Presidential Election. Now more than ever, we must unite to advance the best interests of our communities and uphold our pluralistic democracy. Our responsibility is to activate Muslim voters and demonstrate our power to build the future we want and deserve.
This election has dire consequences for the Muslim American community both at home and abroad. Now is not the time for apathy or passivity. We know that the news will feel daunting, overwhelming, and, might we even say, scary. But, the stakes are too high for voters to sit out the election.
As we navigate this unprecedented, pivotal moment in our democracy, we feel a tremendous sense of responsibility to remind our community of the power of Muslim American voters.
Emgage Action remains steadfast in its commitment to putting the full weight of Muslim voters behind candidates nationwide, especially in swing states, who have a track record of upholding human and civil rights, welcoming diversity, and protecting religious freedom. During the 2020 election, Emgage Action and its partners turned out more than 1.2 million Muslim voters. We can – and will – do it again. For this, we must be united and aligned.
We plan to continue engaging members of the Muslim American community through our national and local chapters and our 2024 Million Muslim Votes campaign to harness the collective energy in our communities and mobilize a historic number of Muslim voters. We know that if we motivate, organize, and mobilize voters in our communities, we can advance policies that enable our communities to thrive and democracy to flourish.
The importance of our vote is greater than ever. Join us as we build power in our communities and ensure every Muslim voice is heard.
