John,
By now, you’ve probably seen the news that President Biden has withdrawn from the 2024 presidential election…
And Republicans are panicking.
Donald Trump went on a late-night (and early morning today) Truth Social tirade…
The Republican National Committee is rewriting its entire playbook to elect Donald Trump in November…
And Speaker Mike Johnson already announced the GOP is ready and willing to file lawsuits over removing President Biden as the nominee…
[link removed] [[link removed]]These legal challenges shouldn’t shock us though, John.
In 2020, Trump and his surrogates filed 62 lawsuits contesting election processes, vote counting, and the vote certification process in nine states. Nearly all of these were dismissed or dropped.
And last election, his MAGA allies running for Secretary of State followed suit:
Kirstina Karamo filed lawsuits before her double digit loss in Michigan. Jim Marchant tried to overturn his loss in Nevada. Mark Finchem is still pushing lawsuits to overturn his loss in Arizona.
Winning elections at the ballot box is our first priority. But we need to be ready for MAGA attempts in the courtroom, where they will likely challenge the integrity of the electoral process every chance they get.
