Right now, we join Americans across the country in thanking President Joe Biden for his service to our nation. Attorney General Holder issued the following statement: "We are lucky to have had Joe Biden for so many years. I’ve known and worked with him for over two decades. He is an incredible man. His principled, effective leadership and love for our country has made our nation better in a great many ways. His decision to put country over candidacy is emblematic of the person I know him to be. Walking away from power is an unusual and difficult thing to do. Too many can’t do it. Washington did. Johnson did. Yesterday, Joe Biden demonstrated strength, self confidence and love for America.
