Karl Folk: Trump is a figurehead and an avatar for a movement that is massive. It's 50+ years old. It has had one goal for that entire time. These people want to project inevitability. They know they're not inevitable. That's what all of this really illuminates to me, as much as the violent potential is that they're scared that they don't have this thing in the bag. Most of the people coming to try and end democracy aren't villains in the way that we understand villains, they're guys in suits and polos who are just talking it over and firing off some emails.
