Sunday, President Biden announced he wouldn’t accept the Democratic nomination for President and, instead, gave his “full support and endorsement” to Kamala Harris.
Throughout the day, most Democratic party leaders joined Biden in backing Harris, and by the evening Sean Hannity, Fox News, and the right-wing media were making racist, sexist attacks on Harris for simply being a woman of color.
Here’s some of what was said last night about Harris on Sean Hannity, Jesse Waters and Newsmax:
- Monica Crowley, a former Trump administration official, told Jesse Watters Harris was “a minority and a DEI hire” and claimed she was “immune to criticism as a woman of color.”
- Dredging up the same sexist attacks many lobbed at Hillary Clinton in 2016, Sean Hannity said Harris was facing a “likeability crisis,” mocking her for a laugh that he said voters detested.
- Newsmax hosts Sebastian Gorka and Bob Brooks said Harris would be the nominee because “she's female and her skin color is the correct DEI color,” and said she’d be the “first DEI president.”
John, this was the first 24 hours of Harris’ campaign, we know it’s only going to get worse over the next three months.
