Republicans are favoured to win the Senate. What would they do?

Protecting our narrow Democratic Senate majority is more important than ever, team.

Republicans will take control of the Senate if they flip just one or two seats, depending on who wins the White House. And we're defending multiple seats in states Trump won in 2020. Here’s what the GOP would likely try to do if they take back the Senate:

- Pass a federal abortion ban that would even apply to blue states like Rhode Island.
- Undo all of our progress fighting climate change in service to the superrich polluters who fund the Republican Party.
- Hand over even more tax cuts for their billionaire campaign donors—and stick hardworking families with the bill.
- Block passage of my Supreme Court ethics bill so this far-right captured Court can secretly collect freebies from billionaires.
- Restart their work of stacking the Supreme Court and all federal courts with Republican partisans with views far outside the mainstream.

It's pretty simple: the Republican Party wants to make the richest few even richer. Democrats are doing everything in our power to grow the middle class—to protect Social Security and Medicare; to create opportunity for upward mobility; to lower health care costs; to make housing affordable.

With the Senate split almost evenly right now, Democrats have to protect every single blue seat and we're counting on grassroots supporters like you to help us hold the line.
