Pesticide Free Food

The reliance of industrial agriculture on monocropping and the overuse of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers contribute significantly to topsoil depletion, biodiversity and pollinator loss, water pollution, and the climate crisis, while also posing serious health risks to farmworkers and the surrounding communities.

As the owner of Green Giant and other iconic brands like Cream of Wheat and Spice Islands, B&G Foods holds significant influence over agricultural practices. Despite this, B&G Foods is only beginning to make necessary changes to address toxic chemicals used in farming. Although the company has started evaluating pesticide use on 20 crops and encouraging Integrated Pest Management (IPM), this is merely a starting point.

Join us in urging B&G Foods to fully commit to regenerative agriculture. We are calling for a comprehensive transition of its entire supply chain to practices that restore and revitalize the earth. This includes adopting cover-cropping, no-till farming, and removing harmful pesticides across all its operations. Furthermore, B&G Foods must implement an IPM plan that mandates all suppliers to phase out highly hazardous pesticides, especially those that pose the greatest risks to people and the planet.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s “final warning” underscores the urgency: We must shift away from destructive industrial agriculture towards sustainable methods that repair our planet. B&G Foods, as a market leader, is uniquely positioned to spearhead this vital transition.

Tell B&G Foods: Lead the way — adopt regenerative practices, reduce and eliminate dangerous pesticides, and ensure a sustainable future for agriculture.

Your voice is crucial. Together, we can hold B&G Foods accountable and press for transformative changes that will safeguard our health, our ecosystems, and our planet.
