President Biden announced yesterday that he is stepping aside from the presidential ticket.

I am incredibly grateful for President Biden’s leadership and service to our country. For over 50 years, he has modeled what public service should look like: a deep commitment to making a difference for everyone, no matter who they are or where they live.

He restored the soul of our nation at a time when we needed it most. He rehabilitated our relationship with foreign nations. And he defended our democracy in the moments when we needed it most, after the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished an extraordinary amount — signing into law the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. The impacts of these laws are far-reaching and will make a difference for generations to come.
