Policy-palooza: During the the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Heritage held a day-long Policy Fest.  

• Among the speakers were former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Mike Lee, and Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt. 
• Paul Dans, director of Project 2025, talked about the lies and misinformation that the Left is spreading about this Heritage-led effort. 
• Tucker Carlson gave a speech and sat for a Q & A with Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts. 
• More than 90 members of the media were in attendance, including nine TV cameras, and it was streamed live on YouTube.

Dereliction: Who will uncover the truth about the security lapses before the assassination attempt against Donald Trump? 

• Heritage Visiting Fellow Mark Morgan says that the public has lost faith in the FBI, the Justice Department, and Congress and that a bipartisan commission should investigate.  
• Morgan is a former FBI agent and top official at the Department of Homeland Security.

• Heritage’s crime map illustrates how every state is now a border state when it comes to crime and chaos caused by illegal aliens. 
• “We know firsthand that Biden’s open border is our nation’s greatest national security threat,” Arizona resident Jim Chilton told The Daily Signal at the Republican National Convention.

Election integrity: In June, the Heritage-organized, non-partisan Transition Integrity Project (TIP) held exercises with key experts to expose possible threats to the next presidential election.  

• The TIP’s goal is to ensure that the 2024 elections are fair, legal, and peaceful, and that the outcome is accepted as legitimate by the public.  
• Last week, the organizers came to Heritage to share their findings.

Next gen: To help to fight the Left and fill in the education gap, Heritage held its first High School Fellowship this June. 

• Thirty-one high school students from 15 states spent the week learning from 40 policy experts, visiting historic sites, and writing capstone projects. 
• “The fellowship has given me newfound hope and optimism for the future,” shared one fellow.

Share the Wealth: Many on the Left see the wealthy as enemies of the common good. 

• Heritage’s new website demonstrates how wealth and innovation benefit all of society—not only entrepreneurs. 
• The creations of innovators and entrepreneurs “raise our standard of living, make our daily routines more convenient, and enable us to live longer, richer, and more purpose-filled lives,” the site explains.
