Today, President Joe Biden announced that he'll no longer be seeking a second term for president. I cannot thank Joe Biden enough for all that he's done for our country as a senator, vice president, and president.

As senator, Joe led the passage of landmark legislation like the Violence Against Women Act. He proudly served alongside President Barack Obama as vice president for two terms. And, when Americans needed him most, he stepped up to end the dangerous tenure of Donald Trump.

Together, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have delivered for Philadelphians, and the nation, with accomplishments I've been proud to vote for in Congress. From the American Rescue Plan that helped us recover from COVID and the Trump recession to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to the historic clean-energy and health-care law also known as the Inflation Reduction Act – the Biden-Harris administration continuously put our country first.

I can't think of a better way to honor President Biden for his service than by joining him in supporting Vice President Kamala Harris as our next nominee! As a former prosecutor, state attorney general, senator, and current vice president – there is no one better to take on convicted felon Donald Trump in November.

I'm ready to do whatever it takes to help Joe and Kamala usher us into a new age of democracy by electing her as the first female President of the United States.
