Fellow American,
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, Homeland Security Secretary
Alejandro Mayorkas, and FBI Director Christopher Wray are about to feel my
wrath.
As a member of the Oversight Committee for Homeland Security and Secret
Service, I will not rest until I'm satisfied. And I won't be satisfied until I
have answers.
* Why was the shooter able to climb and position himself on a roof 150 yards
away from President Trump?
* Why did the Secret Service ignore civilians when they alerted authorities
to the shooter's position?
* Why didn't the Secret Service see the shooter before he was able to fire
eight rounds at the President?
* Why should any American have an ounce of confidence in the Secret Service's
ability to protect President Trump, Joe Biden, or RJK Jr. after so many
apparent institutional failures on July 13th?
These are just a few of the many questions that we will ask Director Cheatle,
Secretary Mayorkas, and Director Wray when we question them before Congress.
