Friend -

As people celebrate Earth Day today, many are noticing recent improvements in our environment. Yes - as the world slows to a halt, our air quality has slightly improved and our greenhouse gas emissions have gone down. The impact humans have on our environment is clear during this moment of crisis, but it comes at the cost of harmful economic slowdowns, human distress, and loss of life. These changes are only temporary.

Instead of accepting these fleeting improvements at face-value, we can see this as a wakeup call and hold those in power accountable. We can use our voices and our votes to elect environmental stewards who will take this climate crisis seriously and push for real, lasting change.

John, polluters have operated unchecked for decades, while science-deniers ignore the threat of climate change. Our best chance to combat climate change, and this pandemic, is to follow the science, not the polluters and special interests who are indifferent to the damage.

As your representative, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene has continually led the charge to protect our natural resources and ensure that we leave our children the healthy planet they deserve.

Suzan understands that climate change is not just a challenge we must tackle to avert disaster, but that it is an opportunity to build a new clean energy economy and preserve our quality of life. She will work hard to combat this crisis - not just on Earth Day - but every day. Add your name to join her in this fight.
