John,
Good evening, and welcome to our Weekend
Update. The past few days have been truly historic. From the attempted
assassination of President Trump to the RNC Convention, from Joe Biden
suspending his campaign to his endorsement of Kamala Harris for the
presidential nomination, we are witnessing some of the most
significant events in our nation's history every single day!
What happened today is remarkable. The
Democrat Party just bullied their nominee off the ballot,
disenfranchising the 953,916 ballots cast for President Biden in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and 14.3 million nationwide, representing
98.9% of Democratic voters.
Now, the Democrat Party will select their
candidate in one of the most undemocratic processes ever, working
behind closed doors with no input from the voters.
Democrat leaders deceived the American
people for well over a year by hiding the realities of Biden’s mental
decline and failed policies. They knew Biden was unfit to serve, yet
claimed what we were seeing with our own eyes were ‘deep fakes.’ Now
the Democrat machine and leftwing media has forced him out,
circumventing the will of their voters.
This begs the question about the
transparency and accountability within the Biden White House, his
cabinet, senior Democratic leaders, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
We must question if the administration’s goal of self-preservation
outweighed their obligation and sworn oath to uphold the Constitution
and protect the American people.
Finally, let’s be clear, while Biden is
out of the race, his failed policy agenda is not. Vice President
Kamala Harris has been a willing participant in every failure,
including infamously leading Biden's border disaster. As the appointed
Border-Czar since March 2021, she has only visited the southern border
once. This shows she has not taken this critical issue,
or any issue facing Americans seriously. Harris isn't a
serious candidate, and she will now be vetted by Americans across the
nation.
The eyes of the nation and the world were
on the RNC Convention in Milwaukee as we officially nominated Donald
J. Trump as our presidential candidate and Senator J.D. Vance as our
vice presidential candidate.
The energy behind the Trump-Vance ticket
was electric. The RNC and the Trump-Vance campaign did a fantastic job
with the convention.
President Trump gave a powerful speech,
and if you haven't seen it, I encourage you to watch it by clicking
here or below.
Speaking just days after being shot,
President Trump showed precisely why we must put him back in November.
Watching the speech from the convention floor was an experience I will
not soon forget.
I joined "Mornings with Maria" on Fox
Business to discuss the assassination attempt, Biden's primetime
interview, and the selection of J.D. Vance as our vice presidential
nominee. Click
here or below to watch.
We had the opportunity to meet with so
many of our great friends at the convention, including Donald Trump,
Jr., Judge Jeanine Pirro, and my colleague and patriot Congressman Jim
Jordan. (Pictured below)
Being at the convention was special,
especially surrounded by our Pennsylvania Republican family. One of
the highlights was having our GOP U.S. Senate nominee, Dave McCormick,
address the convention. Click
here or below to watch.
I am pictured with my colleagues in the
U.S. House, including Congressmen G.T. Thompson and Guy Reschenthaler
(pictured below).
Shelley and I are also pictured with
Steven Wolfe, who served as an RNC Delegate from the 9th
District.
The convention was filled with powerful
and moving speeches and performances showcasing America's best. From
Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance to the Trump family members to
Hulk Hogan and Kid Rock, it celebrated our nation's spirit. The
growing energy for the election was matched by a sense of optimism for
the future, knowing that we can re-elect President Trump and that he
will work to fix Biden's mess and Make America Great Again for all
Americans.
On July 13th, I attended President Donald
J. Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The attempted assassination
of President Trump was horrific and heinous. Tragically, these actions
took the life of Corey Comperatore, critically injured
two others, and injured President Trump as well as other
supporters.
After I addressed the crowd
earlier, I was seated in the front row of the event alongside GOP U.S.
Senate candidate Dave McCormick and my colleague, Congressman Mike
Kelly. Just a few minutes into President Trump's address,
shots were fired. The scene was chaotic, but the Secret Service and
law enforcement acted quickly, protecting President Trump and quickly
neutralizing the shooter.
Understandably, the crowd was in shock
and deeply concerned. Then, President Trump valiantly stood back up
and pumped his fist to show the same resolve and strength of character
he had shown his entire life. He showed tremendous leadership and
proved again why he is ready to lead our nation.
What happened at the Butler Rally must
never happen again. I agree with my colleagues that actions and
protocols related to protecting the president and former presidents
must be reviewed to determine how this awful situation occurred. We
must ensure that our presidents and former presidents running for the
highest office in the nation are protected and safe.
In the immediate aftermath, I joined
several national and local news outlets, including CNN's
"State of the Union," to discuss what I witnessed at the event. Click
here or below to watch.
I also joined CBS News Sunday
Morning. Click

Additionally, I joined Kristen Welker or
NBC's "Meet the Press." Click

I joined "Wake Up America" on Newsmax. Click

I joined "News
Nation Now" with Connell McShane to discuss
the investigation into the shooter at the Trump rally in Butler and
provide a preview of the convention. Click

I joined “American Agenda” on Newsmax to discuss the tragic
events at the rally in Butler. President Trump's remarkable display of
fortitude and strength of character helped calm and reassure everyone
involved. Strong leadership creates a stronger nation. Now, more than
ever, we need to unite within our party and across America.

I joined Greg Bishop of The Center
Square to discuss the attempted assassination
of President Trump and the importance of combatting personal attacks
and negative rhetoric. Click

I called to speak with RJ Harris
on WHP-580. Click

I am pumped up for the Trump-Vance ticket. Trump
flags are flying everywhere, including with a few of my friends at the
top of Mount Kilimanjaro. If you are not, watch this speech from Hulk
Hogan by clicking

again!

As I noted, we will be sending updates
