John,
I’m often asked why the PPC doesn’t have
commercials on TV and radio, or billboards on every street corner, or
full-page ads on newspapers, in order to spread its message.
The answer is simple: A single ad campaign on each of these
media platforms can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Only ads on social media are cheaper, but of course you can’t
reach people who aren’t on social media with them.
Last year, the People’s Party raised $1,6 million.
With this money, we paid our staff, office rent,
events and travel, online and telecommunications services, bank fees,
and a bunch of other stuff that is necessary to run a national party.
We also put some money aside for the next election campaign.
And we spent $400,000 for advertising during the three
by-elections, especially in Portage-Lisgar where I ran.
Compare this to the Conservatives, who raised $35
million. They spent $8.5 million on advertising alone.
The Liberals, who raised $16 million.
The
NDP, who raised $7 million.
John, we know the PPC has the best ideas. But
unless more Canadians know about them, it’s not going to make much of
a difference.
We need to become more
competitive with the establishment parties.
We need more
advertising everywhere, on social media and on all other platforms.
John, help us reach more Canadians with a $25 donation
today that will help us prepare a more ambitious and effective ad
campaign at the next election!
Thank you,
-Max
